Government Testimonials

From the Prime Minister’s Office:

“…these are the main activities of … the Ministry of Education: strengthening the heritage and values of Zionism and Judaism; expanding the Masa Yisraeli project – within two years increasing participation to approximately 20,0000 grade 11 students annually who will have the benefit of the Masa yisareli program – a s six-day journey in the footsteps of Jewish and Zionist heritage.”

From the Minister of Education:

“The Ministry of Education has recently published its objectives.. and one of the four objectives in the field of values education is to expand the Masa Yisraeli program for grade 11, a program that focuses on strengthening a sense of belonging to the people and the land of Israel, while deepening Jewish, Zionist and Israeli identity amongst our youth.”

On Israeli Television, Channel 2, September 9, 2013 “The Masa Yisraeli program was written in cooperation with the Shelach and Israel Studies Division of the Ministry of Education with the goal of strengthening the Jewish-Zionist identity and love of country among the students as well as getting to know the land and increasing the sense of belonging to the homeland and Israeli culture.  Due to the importance the Ministry attaches to the Masa and its contribution to educational values for the students, this year, additional budget was provided to the program in accordance with the rules of the tender that was won by the Mibereshit Foundation.”

From the Prime Minister’s National Security Advisor:

“..I attach great importance to the work conducted – both in Israel and in the Diaspora by Mibereshit in general and Masa Yisraeli in particular. At all levels and ages, these programs enable young people to reconnect with their identity as Jews, the land and its history, and to the Jewish moral calling to do good and evoke traditional Jewish values of social awareness and Gmilut Chesed. During a period in which our national resilience is often questioned, and the long term effects of a callow media and harsh public discourse are the norm, it is very encouraging to see that your activities draw many thousands of participants. What they gain from t heir experience serves them well, and at the same time, helps build a solid foundation for our future.”
