Achievements

Over the course of the past eight years in which the project has been in place, research has accompanied the participants to gauge the impact of the Masa. The Mashav Applied Research Institute  has surveyed the program’s participants and has come up with some vital conclusions.
  • 79% of the participants stated that as a result of the Israeli Roots Odyssey, they feel it is more important to volunteer in their community 
  • 96% of those surveyed stated that as a result of the Israeli Roots Odyssey they have a stronger desire to enlist in the IDF or National service, for a meaningful service
  • 91% stated that as a result of the Israeli Roots Odyssey they are prouder to be Jewish
  • 91% of the participants stated that as a result of the Israeli Roots Odyssey they feel more connected to the Land of Israel, its landscapes and its sites
  • 93% stated that as a result of their experience on the Israeli Roots Odyssey, they are prouder to be Israelis

The significance of these results is profound. These findings mean that our future generation will feel more connected to the country, will feel a stronger sense of responsibility and connection to the Jewish people worldwide and will have a stronger drive to to do military or National service in a meaningful way. Additionally, volunteerism, which is so central to the program’s experience, will likely be strengthened as well,
